Dallas, TX, May 27, 2008 – D|C|CADD announced it has earned the coveted Autodesk Premier Solutions Provider (PSP) certification for Architectural Design, an honor reserved only for the highest-achieving, most knowledgeable among the Autodesk Value Added Reseller (VAR) channel. D|C|CADD is the first, and only, Premier Solutions Provider for Building Architecture in Texas. D|C|CADD serves the architectural communities in Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio and Central & South Texas.
To qualify for Autodesk’s PSP status, D|C|CADD distinguished itself based on technical and industry expertise and strong knowledge of customers’ business needs. In addition, the company met rigorous customer service, sales and personnel goals and delivered a large number of extremely positive client references, each attesting to a consistently high level of expertise, service and commitment to customer success. Autodesk cited D|C|CADD’s 21 years as a Texas Autodesk Value Added Reseller and the company’s extensive experience in both technical and sales capacities as key factors in their decision to recognize D|C|CADD with this special certification.
”Autodesk’s recognition of our expertise in this area underscores our long-term business strategy of being much more than a seller of CAD software” noted D|C|CADD President Doug Wietbrock. “We’ve striven to field the best team of experts in Texas to properly advise, train and support our clients to maximize their investment in Autodesk design solutions.”
About D|C|CADD
D|C|CADD was founded in San Antonio, Texas by Doug Wietbrock in 1987 to fill the void of knowledgeable, professional AutoCAD dealers in the South Texas area. As a registered architect and partner at a San Antonio firm, Wietbrock was the implementation manager when the architectural firm purchased its first CAD system. He quickly discovered their AutoCAD dealer could not provide useful technical support. His frustration led him to CompuServe (a pre-Internet, on-line community) for assistance. A short time later, Wietbrock helped establish San Antonio’s first AutoCAD User Group, serving as the organization’s second President. Sensing a much-needed business opportunity for a competent source of AutoCAD software, support and training, Wietbrock formed D|C|CADD within a year of first using AutoCAD.
In May of 1996, D|C|CADD opened an office in Austin, becoming an Authorized Training Center within the first year. D|C|CADD also opened an office in Dallas in February 2001. Like he had at the other two D|C|CADD locations, Wietbrock hired enthusiastic people with considerable CAD industry expertise, and Autodesk bestowed ATC status on the Dallas facility in late 2001. During its first year, the Dallas office won some of the largest Autodesk accounts in the Metroplex area.
In 2006, D|C|CADD expanded its offices in both Austin and Dallas-Ft Worth to accommodate additional employees. By 2007, D|C|CADD ranked as one of the 20 largest Autodesk Resellers in the US. In early 2008, the company was recognized as one of the Top Performing Autodesk Resellers and was listed as an Autodesk Platinum Club winner.
